#RX3 | DIY FURRY CLUTCH

Here's a simple DIY project that will give you're clutch or small zipper pouch a facelift. I've done this DIY a few times now, it's one that never seems to get old. I purchased about a meter and a half of this faux fur fabric on sale at Fabricland almost a year ago and have been continually using it ever since. Talk about a steal...
For this DIY you will need|
Faux Fur Fabric
Scissors
Ruler or Straight edge
Glue Gun
Chalk or Fabric pencil
Cell phone Charm (optional)
Step 1| Grab your pouch and trace with chalk. Make sure you leave about 1cm of space around you're purse (you'll need this extra fabric later for gluing).
Step 2 | Once you're fabric has been cut line it up with your pouch to make sure its straight. Doing this frequently will make sure you don't end up with twisted or lopsided adhesion. Place a straight line of glue across the top of your purse and press down firm. You'll need hold it for a few seconds to allow the glue to cool down and properly bind to the fabirc.
Step 3 | Now you want to do the same with the sides of the clutch, this time applying the glue in a zig zag motion. This will make sure it binds well. Then press again firm allowing it to adhere.
Step 4| Once that's done, it's time to revisit zipper closure. With your glue gun, glue the fabric as close as you can to the zipper seam without getting it directly onto the zipper. You'll need to do this as carefully as possible, to avioid your zipper from getting all clogged up. Once finished, slide you're zipper back and forth to remove any slight resistance.
Add you're favourite phone charm for a little additional character and you're done!
As an extra (optional) step, I used a little scrap fabric from an old project and glued it over the zipper handle to create a more 'lush' feel. This is where you can really personalize it. Make it your own!
