#RX3 | DIY Ring Tray

I'd been on the lookout for a minimal ring tray to place my rings when washing up near the sink. I began searching online and saw this tiny little Kitten dish by Catbird and thought 'how cute'. Except I don't like cats. This was the only variation I'd seen and even sort of liked, so I decided to make my own. It's easy and addictive.
For this DIY you will need:
Oven Bake Clay
Circular cookie cutters
Stamps
Rolling Pin or Glass bottle/Cup
Wax Paper
Oven
Step 1|  Roll out your Oven Bake Clay. Try you're best to roll it lightly, and evenly. If you push too hard, you'll find the clay will come out slightly lopsided. And we don't want that.
Step 2| Use you're cookie cutter and cut out desired size for your tray (I payed $1.75 for the set of three at Bulk Barn).
Step 3| Place onto wax paper and use your stamps. This is the addictive part. You pretty much have free reign to personalize it however you like. I made one for myself, and one for my sister. These little trays are great as small gifts, you can really customize each one specific to individual who's receiving it.
Step 4| Bake! The baking time varies slightly from one Oven Bake Clay brand to the next, but the instructions should be on the outside of the package. The Premo! brand I used requires a preset oven of 275'C for 30 minutes. Once you're little creation is done baking, let it cool for about 10 minutes before removing it from the wax paper. Allowing this will buffer time will reduce the risk of cracking your tray before it gets the chance to cool....
There you have it! Ring trays galore!
Ah yes, before I'm outtie, I purchased the Oven bake clay and stamps from Micheals. I purchased two small packages of clay (one plain white, the other marble) for about $3 each. One package makes roughly two small trays. Or you can go ham and make one giant one.
If you head over, make sure you sign up on their mailing list first. They send me emails at least once a week with a '40% off or regular priced item' coupon. #winning.
If you're wondering why the third ring tray is sans rings, it's because it's still drying. I got excited and wanted to photograph it alongside the others...I'm extra, I know.
