Lipstick. For some reason I've always found it difficult to pull off. So many women wear it to perfection, adding the perfect little amount of 'pop' to any outfit. Again and again I've tried, each time feeling more and more bored by the results.

Enter Kim Possible. Remember that hot gyal from Family Channel who stayed slaying evil doers? This weeks makeup inspiration is influenced by this baddie and her kick ass style. 

For anyone out there like me that craves a little twist to a timeless classic, proceed to view the following....

Cream Lip Stain by Sephora 

The 'how to' of this look is super simple. 

1| Apply a full amount of Satin Lip Stain (or your own lipstick) to only the top lip. If using the Lip Stain, wait a few seconds, allowing it to dry. Then transfer a little to the bottom lip by smooching your lips together lightly.

2| If you're using your own color, you will need to dab you're upper lip with a tissue before proceeding to transfer to the bottom lip. The tissue will remove any of the extra creaminess of the lipstick so that you don't get a full amount of color transfer. 

Et voila! 

You can use you're favourite lipstick, but I chose the Sephora Satin Lip Stain because it has a great matte finish and is super long lasting. Tip: try using a light lip balm before applying. It will give those lips a little extra moisture, and who can't use extra moisture. 

I realize this look might not be for everyone but personally I can't get enough. Sets a slightly more dare-I-say provocative tone to a otherwise very lady-like aesthetic.

Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't. Either way it shake up your regular lip application routine.
